DK Summer with Bebe Winans
Hello Beautiful People, as the Dave Koz and friends summer tour is almost done I want say what a fun time this tour has been. Nate Kearney Jr. (bass) as been a fine new addition to the band and his playing and humor are both awesome and fun. BeBe Winans is incredible and vocalist Margaret Bell is a star in her own right.Anyway, look for me elsewhere for September, October and early November with various artists including my own Boneshakers and Randy Jacobs Dynamite, Plus Soul 7, Richard Elliot and Brian Simpson (and a few more to come). Starting late November I will once again join the Dave Koz Xmas Tour for a month and then in January 2013 I will be on the Smooth Jazz Cruise for two weeks.Check my Showdates page for updates.I will see you all somewhere.
All my best Randy

I want thank everyone that helped make my show at the Thorton Winery a great one and Brian Culbertson for asking me to sit in.I am grateful to have Tio Banks (keys), Andre Berry (Bass), Dave Hooper (Drums) and Bill Bergman (Sax) as my band.A big thanks also to Scott Pedersen of Scottland Concerts for giving an opportunity to showcase my music. I’ve done the Hyatt Newporter Festival as The Boneshakers, Randy Jacobs’ Dynamite and Was (Not Was), very cool.

Ok, I know I have been remiss in my blog duties but here’s some catch up.The year 2010 has been very good to me so far and I have had a great time this year and its not even over.I just finished the Koz Together Again Tour with Jonathan Butler featuring Sheila E. it was an amazing group of musicians and a ton of fun for me.I performed with R&R last weekend in Mission Viejo with Rick Braun and Richard Elliot and those two know how get the party going. For my Cali fans I’ll be performing with my band the Boneshakers at Harvelles in Santa Monica, CA Sept 17 and then Moes Alley in Santa Cruz on Sept 18.I’ll be appearing with Warren Hill Oct 7 and Oct 9 (see my Show Dates for more info).Warren is the guy who brought me into Smooth Jazz and I look forward to this reunion.I’ll then be reconnecting with Dave Koz again in November for his Blue Note shows in Japan with special guest Spencer Day so there you have it. Hope all is great and see you somewhere soon.

What a show!! If I wasn’t part of it I would be going to see it. Great first show in Detroit. Sheila E, Jonathan and Dave are a monster combo. Having never worked with Sheila I mean it when I say she is an incredible musician and performer. Looking forward to more, more more!!
