Tonight is the Haiti Relief show with Rick Braun, Brenda Russell and Jonathan Butler. A cool time for a great cause. Though I have worked with both Rick and Jonathan many times. This is the first time I have worked with songwriter/singer Brenda Russell. The band Sergio Gonzales, Dan Lutz, and Arlington Jones join me as back up for this night.

A chilly and snow covered show with Dave Koz at Atwood Concert Hall
In Anchorage, Alaska. I actually miss the snow. I grew up in Detroit so I have first hand experience shoveling snow and making snowballs.

I’m back on the open seas with the Smooth Jazz Cruise for a week of music.
My assignments this year are Euge Groove, Ledisi, Eric Darius, Jeff Golub, Dave Koz, Peter White and Brian Simpson. It will be my first time working with Ledisi. I love her voice and I will enjoy playing her great music. See you on the boat!

I’m laying guitar on seven tracks for Mindi Abair’s upcoming CD.
We are recording with Reggie McBride (Bass), James Gadson, (Drums) and Rex Rideout (co-producing). Mindi and I have known each other since I moved to LA in the early 90’s when we use to play at the Mint with Ollie Leibers “Ollywood Swingin” band. I’m so honored to be involved in this project.
